The views from our room were amazing. The shower pressure could definitely use improvement. Enjoyed themed dinner nights and beautiful hikes nearby.

Very nice hotel close to the Estrela mountains. Former monastery which makes the hotel very interesting. Very good dinner restaurant.
Not walking distance for children in to Belmonte.

We enjoyed the location and the architecture. The lady on evening duty was very helpful and of the standard expected of a 4 star establishment. The breakfast was good. The establishment, besides the room, was very pleasant and we enjoyed the Historical aspects very much.
The staff were unprepared for our arrival. The fruit in the room was old and a portion of the apple was badly bruised. We did not receive the chocolates, gown and slippers which were promised. The carpets were stained and appeared unclean. The room was not of a 4 star standard which was disappointing.

The views from our room were just amazing, 'n the breakfast spread was somethin' special, I tell ya. Them folks servin' up meals were real attentive, always checkin' on us. Didn't expect such charm in a place like this-had me feelin' right at home. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi could use a lil' boost, but that didn't spoil nothin'.

Good value, room was spotless, staff were outstandingly accommodating! Thoroughly enjoyed plentiful and delicious breakfast options with soy milk and pastries and gluten free bread. Location: the hotel was near old monastery and Pousada de Belmonte. There was a gastronomic restaurant nearby.

The hotel was built in old monastery and this mix old and modern gives interesting impression. There is extremely nice view from rooms to the valley with height of bird flight. Gourmet restaraunt was one of the best for 2 weeks of our journey in Portugal.

The calming effect of the whole atmosphere their was wonderful. The scenery and rooms were great, staff friendly and very helpful. Belmonte is a quiet friendly town to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there. Had a late lunch in town at a family owned restaurant that was very good about a block into the town.
We would highly recommend spending at least one night at the Pousada for the experience.

The location, the design that kept the originality of the convent and the gourmet dinner.
Once at belmonte it was difficult to arrive at the hotel by car. Signposting is very poor. Coffee at breakfast was un-drinkable.

Perfect for a romantic getaway
The atmosphere was like stepping back in time, with the remnants of the old monastery beautifully integrated into the hotel's charm. I remember sipping a glass of wine on our private balcony, overlooking the lush valley, and it reminded me of we were in our own little paradise.
It was a bit on the pricey side but, believe me, totally worth it.

large room with space for the children, swimming pool, beautiful views and fantastic dinner.
Breakfeast was rather sparce - I guess there were not that many people in the hotel - but some things did not look fresh and that was a shame. Some of the interiror and the furniture did look a biot dated and could do with a refresh.
